Do I need a doctor’s letter?
This is not needed if you are paying for your own treatment. If you have private insurance a doctor’s letter may be required before treatment can start. You should check with your insurer for conditions specific to your policy.
How soon can I get an appointment?
Normally within a day or two.
How much does it cost?
Initial assessment lasts 60 minutes and costs £40 Follow-up sessions last 45 minutes and cost £35 Payment is required at each session by cash or cheque unless by private insurance. Please note that credit cards are not accepted.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on the severity of the problem and how long it has been going on. Most people need between 3 and 6 sessions. Your therapist will be able to give you a more accurate estimate once you have been assessed.
What if I have private insurance?
Each insurer has its own terms and conditions so you must check your policy carefully for these and get authorisation before treatment can start. You will normally be given a claim number once your treatment has been authorised. You may need a letter from your GP prior to starting treatment. There may be an “excess” clause which requires you to pay a certain amount direct to the clinic . Please bring your authorisation documents along on your first visit.
Payment options vary depending on the insurer. Payment may be made directly to the clinic then reclaimed from your insurer. Alternatively the clinic can bill your insurer directly. Please make sure you know how payment will be made.
